It's funny. But I saw a ref sending two American's off for no reason. Italy got all the help possible, and they still couldn't beat a second-rate squad. |

Did you see those challenges?
Pope was off for two yellows, deservedly so, and the other guy went in with his studs showing, something FIFA is cracking down on.
They deserved to be sent off. |

i don't think Pope should have been given his 2nd yellow for that challenge. it wasn't a bookable offense IMO. oh well....US got a point. Just need to beat Ghana and have Italy take down Czech. |

When the US produces a team capable of winning the world cup Europeans will be the first to point it out, because in football we know what we're talking about.
Congrats on a great game against Italy tho'! The next game against Ghana should be a great one to watch, especially if Italy manage to beat the Czechs. |

USA: Pope, Mastroeni
Ghana: Muntari, Gyan
Italy: De Rossi
Czech Republic: Ujfalusi, Lokvenc
gyan and muntari were the 2 goal scorers vs Czech. so that will maybe hurt Ghana. Lokvenc is a striker..so with Koller and Barros out...that leaves them with Heinz and Sionoko. should be an interesting final group match day. |

Italy didnt win the game.. they were not beaten!! they drew the game because we made a defending error which resulted in an own goal!!

I'm American. We don't even care about soccer. We're all waiting for real football season to start. I'm a Saints fan. I'm especially happy since we signed Reggie Bush.
I just want to win the world cup so we can hold it over the heads of you freaking limeys. After all, it's your national sport. But how many cups have you won? One? I think that's it.
Let's face it. Except for Germany, most European teams have no chance. The Krauts are the only ones who can match up with the South Americans.
