I've quit my job, giving notice, apparently on good terms. I'm heading back home with no real plans for my future. Therefore, I may return to Korea. Anyone have experience with this? Is it better to ask for a letter of release now or later?
The school is generally a stickler about paperwork and making things official, so I have a feeling they may cancel my visa without me asking. But they always seem to mess things up with me. Just me, everybody esle gets things done fine.
Thanks. |

You only need a letter of release IF you plan to come back and work during the original term of employment. If your finish date was say Jan 27th 2007 and you wanted to come back before then, you would need a LOR. On the other hand if you came back AFTER said date, you wouldn't require one. |

What exactly does a letter of release say and do you need one if you're fired? |
