You're right. It's even right there in the caption to that photo. I guess I just got caught up in the vicarious uri-nara pain of it all. You really need to see that photo. Shocked

But Flotsam, don't you find the B&W print version in the paper much harsher and grislier than the colour one? There's also something of the grotesque and tragic in the print one that's entirely missing from the colour version.

The colour one is great to have, and thanks so much for it. I'm just not sure that I don't find it somehow a bit too flattering. The others you just posted, those are utterly useless.

I agree the print version has a washed-out Orwellian-ness to it that evokes the phenomenon more chillingly, and accurately.

As for the other photos: to what use would you have beauty put to?

(But I'll bet several of the peanuts in the gallery have a very specific use in mind indeed.)
