So what do you think it's going to be like? Do you think you will get in?
Why or why not?
Here's a great album that I listened to a few years ago and the group's interpretation on Hell.

Interestingly, there are numerous words for hell in the Bible. There's the Hebrew Sheol, meaning the grave. Most Hebrews didn't believe in hell (same with Jews today), and some only started to after being influenced by Greek philosophy. Then there's the Greek Tataros. I believe the Bible only mentions demons going there - just as in Greek legend, that was where evil gods and demi-gods ended up. Finally there's Jesus' favourite, Gehena, the name of a garbage pit outside Jerusalem where there were constant fires for burning waste. I suppose that's where most conservative bible scholars think that people like you and I will end up - burning like refuse.
It's interesting how conservative Christian views on hell have been so much more influenced by Greek thinking than by Hebrew. Satan himself is just a modification of Pan. |

I don't know what hell is exactly and I don't necessarily agree the the Catholic definition, or even what most Christians might say about it.
I hope and pray I never have to find out. I think it is a place so horrilbe that you and everyone you know doesn't want to find out either.
Think of being a child in Iraq whose family has just been killed.
Then multiply that by 100. |

As the saying goes...
Believe in it? I used to work there!
I'm sure most who have experienced Korean hogwans could agree. If it turns out that God's seriously pissed off at me I'm sure I'll be teaching classes of 15+ Korean kindie kids all day and night, with the windows barred so I can't jump from the fifth floor. |

Heaven and Hell are boring and I definitely don't want to be reincarnated again. What do the Scientologists have to offer? |

Well I believe there is nothing more hatefull than a born again christian, they represent everything rotten, evil, perverse, and unclean about humanity. So if they are going to heaven, then I'm off to hell to be with all the beautiful enlightened people, should be a great party... |

Since the 1st poster mentioned music, I'll do the same. There's a song made by Accept that popped into my mind as soon as I saw that AC/DC record. Maybe some of you are familiar with album Russian Roulette (1986) and the song Heaven is Hell? That's one helluva good song... and Udo Dirkschneider has such an ugly voice that it's actually beautiful!
For those who don't have any idea what I'm bablbing about I copied a short cut from the song.
HEAVEN IS HELL
We swear it on the bible
If wanted on the Koran
It's always good for trouble
To have a holy ghost
We have made a decision
There is forgiveness if you need
But this is not in this world
You have to wait and wait
There is no - no other way
You can't just believe what you want
No other way - no no
You can read it in the book, what's good or bad
Heaven is there where hell is
And hell is down on earth, oh yeah
You shouldn't kill your brother
Except if he doesn't know what's right
If he can't love your heaven
Ah, it's mercy for him to die
And then it's so much better
Than to live without redemption
This is easy to do so
And you can read how it works, ha ha |

Yes. And the English word "hell" comes from the Norse goddess "Hel" and the underground land of the dead which she ruled.
Interestingly, "Hel" is described as calm and peaceful.
It's Hifhel (or Hiflhel) where evil people go to be punished.
"Sheol" is supposed to be gloomy and without energy, rather than a place of fire and torment.
The translators of the King James version of the Bible translated "Sheol," "Hades," and "Gehenna" all as "Hell," thus making the Bible seem more internally-consistent than it really is.
Some of the newer versions of the Bible use the words "Sheol" and "Hades" and translate "Gehenna" into "Hell."
The Gnostic Christians believed that most people went to Hell, but that Hell was more similar to Earth that to a fiery torture-chamber.
And middle-eastern pagan gods such a Baal and Molech came to be portrayed as demons. |

I think that you won't find out until you get to Operating Thetan Level Three (OT III).
And that's going to cost you some big bucks.
However, given their literature, I would guess that in the after-life, you become a Body Thetan and float around until you stick to somebody else, and then you make their life miserable.
Here's something "interesting":
Penthouse Interview With L. Ron Hubbard Jr.
Quote: |
Hubbard: I believed in Satanism. There was no other religion in the house! Scientology and black magic. What a lot of people don't realize is that Scientology is black magic that is just spread out over a long time period. To perform black magic generally takes a few hours or, at most, a few weeks. But in Scientology it's stretched out over a lifetime, and so you don't see it. Black magic is the inner core of Scientology --and it is probably the only part of Scientology that really works. Also, you've got to realize that my father did not worship Satan. He thought he was Satan. He was one with Satan. He had a direct pipeline of communication and power with him. My father wouldn't have worshiped anything. I mean, when you think you're the most powerful being in the universe, you have no respect for anything, let alone worship. |

Speaking of Satan and Satanism, I have never understood something about people who take him up. So, you reject Jesus and his Daddy and all that, but you pick out the nastiest part of the Christian mythology to worship? What the (pardon the expression) Hell? I guess that would make your average Satanist stupider than your average Evangelical/Fundamentalist, and that, my friends, is not an easy level of stupidity to attain.
Oh, yeah, on the OP, as I said on the thread about that other H-place, prove to me that all this twaddle about that angry, hateful Desert War God is true, and I will lead the parade into Hell. I know religion is all about helping people get through the pain of their lives, and to the extent it works for some people, fine. But that some people find it necessary to believe in such vengeful, spiteful bile to get them through their lives should tell us everything we need to know about them, shouldn't it? Back away from the Fundamentalist A-s-s-hole -- it does not have your best interests in mind, it just wants you to join its hateful club, because the more people it has in its hateful club, the better it can feel about its hateful nature. Avoid these people -- they are poison. |

Then you don't understand the nature of true satanism. It's the ultimate celebration of free will, baby! Its the rejection of giving your life over to God's will and loving the fact you are a rational individual, a god in yourself who has the autonomy to determine what is best for himself.
The satanism so often represented in popular media, that of baby sacrifce and goat rape is the stuff of myth. Two parts hollywood and one part Christian bogeyman dreamt up by a sucession of church leaders to scare its followers into being good little girls and boys. Think of it as a medievel war on drugs and you get the drift. |
