How would you rate this recruiting agency from your experiences?
I'm gathering ratings so I can add more information to a post of mine on a sticky in this Job Discussion Forum that will help new ESL Teachers.

I used Footprints for 4 teachers over a year at a hagwon in Ulsan and they were great. The people they sent me were excellent and no hassle. I would reccomend them. |

Although I ended up getting a position through another recruiting company (who just happened to have the job I was looking for), I was very pleased with the service provided by Footprints. They contacted me about several jobs and they were by far the most professional recruiting company I dealt with. It was also nice not to have a "language barrier" when dealing with them. |

Footprints does their job. I plan to add a testimonial to their page in about 6 weeks when I finish my contract.
Then again, I can only speak from the standpoint of my placement in Korea. They also claim to have contacts in Chile and Africa. Don't know how they would rate in these countries but for Korea... it sounds as if Footprints could be the most reliable recruiting option.
I would highly recommend them to anyone coming over here. |

Hmmm...how many get the feeling this thread was probably started by the owners/workers of said recruiting agency... |

I used Longbridge Pacific as a recruiting agency, and they've been the only recruiting agency I've used. |

I contacted Footprints and they acted professionally towards me and located a job with all my specifications. I didn't take their offer because I happened to find a better job through another agency, but that was happy luck. Now, though, that I'm in Asia, recruiters aren't so necessary for my next go-around. |

No way. I'm sure if that were the case they'd have spelt their name right in the title. |

The seemed to me the best organized recruiter I dealt with way back. They had great informative support material. Their material was pretty honest about things. No crap about "Korean students have great respect for teachers..."
They never placed me in a job as I found one on my own. But they seemed pretty straight up. |

My first dealings with Footprints has left me unimpressed.
I contacted a Ben Glickman about teaching positions.
This Glickman doesn't seem to answer questions very clearly or respond to e-mails.
I wonder if he's getting rich from all the Canadian EFL'ers he sends to Korea, China and Taiwan? They recruit for the Ministry of Education in some countries like Tiawan apparantly. |

Again, I can only speak for myself, but I was very impressed with Footprints when I dealt with them. I had contacted a few places when I was looking to come over, and they were by far the most professional. I saw some broken promises, sketchy offers, and one guy who literally begged on the phone for me to come to Korea. Happily, none of these people were from Footprints recruiting. They were straight up and honest, walked me through step by step, offered useful information, and put me in a school that matched all of my specifications. I would use them again without hesitation.
Just my esperiences though. |
