I have been in Korea for three years.
Before I came here I was in really good
physical condition. Now, the only exercise
I do is lifting the bottle up to my mouth.
I don't like the results of this particular
method of training. It seems to be giving
me the opposite of what I want for my body.
So, I would like to try something different.
I have found working out at health clubs to
be a liittle dull and boring. I guess I am into
more active kinds of exercise. My favorite
sports are volleyball and table tennis. I can
even play a little basketball. And I don't mind
kicking around a soccer ball. I am fairly flexible.
But I would really like a workout partner. So, if
you live in Busan and are interested please send
an IM.
Thanks... |

Are you serious? That is not a good sign. Local athletes must work out somewhere... no idea where? |

Have you tried sex? Works for me.
Couldn't help that. Obnoxious, I know.
Actually the warmer weather does bring this out in people. I had knee surgery in Korea 2 months ago, and I'm hoping to be able to get out and run around again soon. |

Freewayx,
I am interested, but I do not arrive in Busan until July 18th. After living in the states for a year, I have put on 30 pounds of fat. When I previously lived in the states, I had an excuse: Nepalese girlfriend who provided me with Nepali food and sex.
When I lmoved to ST Thomas, I had to loose some weight. So, I worked out with a lot of big as$ West Indians who pushed me to my limits. I lost about 30 pounds of fat and put on a lot of muscle.
My routine: 500 push ups in the morning (a set of 100, then two sets of 50, then twelve sets of 25--it took a year to be able to that in 40 minutes). Teach 8-3. Play basketball or soccer with my studentsa fter school. Run two miles to the gym (3 days on, 1 day off) with my books and clothes. Work out for an hour and a half; then eat, grade and sleep. On the weekends, swim, kayak, hike, run. I also trained for the 8 tough miles on ST John--very difficult run: 4 miles up an island, 4 miles down.
I am going to live near PNU (and there is a gym two minutes from my flat), and I will work from 1-9. I plan to do push ups in the morning as well as martial arts, soccer, sprints, basketball, and then go to the gym at night.
I stopped drinking when I was in the Caribbean so I think I can cut down again once I am in Korea.
If your are near, we will have arrange something.
PS Its Ping Pong not table tennis. |

PAY NOT ATTENTION TO THE ABOVE POST
I have, quite easily, found gyms that have all the things you say are missing. |

My bad, I thought he was talking about Korea when he said the gyms here suck.
But I've had no problems in both Seoul and Daegu ... Deagu being smaller than Busan I assume you should be able to find a place. |

Is this some kind of trash talk?
You seem to be saying something here....
But, I'm not sure exactly what you are saying. |

Sorry ella....
I may have been unclear in my original post.
I find lifting weights and running on machines
boring. I would probably find any gym to be dull
unless it served beer or had naked girls dancing
or something like that... |

You guys are all on crack. There are tons of good gyms here. I train at the same place that Choi Ho Man does. He's the giant K1 guy. Obviously he uses the big stuff.
Anyway, Sydney Total Fitness at the Jangsan termonal. Also, there's a Bally's at BECXO I think, but I've never been there. Just get your head out of your ass and look around. |
