I wanted to upgrade my home computer and I got rid of my desktop before I figured out that Sony Korea doesn't have the Sony Vaio XL2 Digital Living System here. I just have my notebook now and the computer at work.
It's pricy but not bad for a system that you were going to keep in the living room anyway for a long time.
I'm going to the States in a month or so, and I wanna buy one so bad, but I know that the DVD player part will be region coded so I can't buy DVDs in Korea for it (although never bought one every anyway). I'm afraid I am going to need a huge transformer for the system.
Transformers get unbalanced when they get old and cause massive voltage spikes before they give up the ghost, so kinda afraid that I'll fry the computer before the transformer kicks it with its last.
Does anyone know if there is a better way??? Maybe another country has 220 Volt configurations that I can order from online and have delivered here? I can get the manuals in English online from the US site, I guess. (Can you tell that I'm in Korea for the long haul )
Anyone interested in such systems here?! |
