Hi! I'm newbie, so sorry if I am repeating a question or asking a stupid one! >.< Anyways, I am interested in teaching in Seoul, Korea and I'm looking around at different places and I even posted my resume here(at the website that is). A couple of recruiters have sent me emails and if I ask them for more information, I am not committing myself to that one recruiter/company, right? I can still choose to go with a different school not with the recruiter? Thanks for any input!

Yes, you can choose to go with anyone that you want.

You're not committing to anything until you sign a contract.

It's best to contact several recruiters, if you choose to go that route. Check out www.worknplay.co.kr or www.englishspectrum.com if you want to get find more job openings

if you are a first timer to korea then your best and safest bet is to secure a position at a public school. There are differest programs around such as EPIK, GEPIK, and Seoul public schools. I don't know much about EPIK and the seoul one but I am currently in the GEPIK one and it has been ok. No school in the program is perfect and there will be varying degrees of problems at every school but it all really depends on how you luck out and get placed at a school that has a good principal and staff. The school that I am at right now is very good and I hate the fact that I may be leaving them in sept. but I'm tired of the vacation and pay nonsense that the board of education is putting all of us GEPIK teachers through.

There are several other schools in my area (I live in Anseong, about 75 km south of seoul) that are looking for teachers for sept. If you are interested I personally know the schools that are looking for people. pm and we can talk.

Whatever, you decide to do I wish you the best and I hope that you find a good school and have a good experience of Korea and Korean people like my wife and I have had.
