I've looked up information on expat soccer teams in Seoul, but I haven't seen anything about women's teams. Are there any? I'd really like to play... Smile

I used to play for lokomotiv Goyang in the SSFL (Seoul Sunday Football League). In our former incarnation as AK United, we had two women players. Other SSFL teams (Daejon springs to mind) have likewise fielded female players, although the league is predominantly male. Problem is, the league is quite physical and although both players were technically gifted, the lack of muscle hindered their play. Talking to one of the women playing for us, I asked why she didn't find a womens' team in Seoul. She commented that the only thing she had found thus far was a group of university girls who only practised and did not play competative games. From what she told me, there is a real lack of organised womens' teams in Korea. Still, I wish you luck and hope you find a squad to join.
