Yep, in my opinion respect has to be earned. Loyalty, too.

Hey, Mr. Adjosshi if you're gonna act like an arrogant tw@t, don't expect any respect from me! Lay off the soju and get some manners.

Oh, I don't know. Maybe CoolTeach actually obeyed the law, came in legally, got a work visa and will leave when the visa expires. It's just a guess, though.

Actually, when the West (the real West) needed settlers, they said pretty much anything to get immigrants to come. They also engaged in harsh racial profiling.

The one thing that always annoys me about Canadians, Americans, Australians etc. that complain about immigrants is the fact that YOU HAVE NO MORE RIGHT TO BE THERE THAN ANY OTHER FUCKING IMMIGRANT YOU CLOSE MINDED *beep*. Whites weren't the first people there were they.

As far as immigrants always being called foreigners, maybe you should try a Google search for "ching chong" or "perpetual foreigner syndrome".

And don't be so sure there aren't recruiters bringing people from Korea and other countries.

you seem to miss the point.

1) Are you an immigrant or are you a guest worker? There's a difference

2) Your country is a country of immigrants that displaced a native population. Korea is not a country of immigrants. done.

Many people here complain here about foreigners. ...Do they want people in the West to treat them like they treat foreigners here??? If kids see one in the U.S., how would they feel if everyone pointed at them and say foreigner, foreigner. Talked about them as if they were second class citizens.
Well, I have more of a right to be here than some immigrating to my home country. ... Well, they should be the ones pushing people here to treat foreigners properly, following the golden rule.
I have no ill will towards any society. I am just getting tired of being ostracized for being different. I respect the rules of the country. But, do not expect me to give the Korean form of respect to others if I don't get it back. I have worked a lot harder than a lot of these shmucks to succeed, I think that is more deserving of respect. Ooh, that guy is a traditional Korean man, well screw him. That doesn't scare me, give me any a good reason to respect him, or think he is not a duschebag.

Just venting!!!

Wow that's some venting. How exactly are you being discriminated against in Korea??

I hear so many people complain about immigrants moving to Canada and the US, where they get jobs, study English day and night, and work themselves to death. We come here, get wasted, make more money than the locals, don't bother to learn the language, and spit all over the local culture. Well, a large amount of us, anyway.

If we're talking about Korean, the vast majority of them go over legally too.

well said,
I enjoy the fact that anti-immigration people tend to talk in circles without fact. Where did coolteach go? Why hasn't he replied? I guess it's easier to spread hate than open your mind.
