What brain-trust in the Korean media decided that it would be a good idea to show ONE game on THREE different channels, while NOT showing the other match (being played simultaneously) on a SINGLE channel?!?!?!

Will this happen tonight, while Korea plays the Swiss? Are you telling me Koreans won't even have a chance to Picture-In-Picture the France-Togo match, which will be important to keep an eye on? Or will the in fact show the France-Togo match on another channel?

I just cannot get over the fact that a country that has JUST hosted the LAST World Cup, is showing only 1/2 of the third round games live. Perhaps the only country in the world in this regard, besides their doppleganger's up north.

As I stated before, I have a friend teaching in the Congo, and even there, where they have only 3 channels, they managed to show both games live--never mind the fact that they don't even have a team participating.

While there is a snowflake's chance in hell of the French game being televised, they will probably show boxed crossovers of any goals scored as they did this morning during Australia vs Croatia. I know what you mean about the situation in the Congo though. My wife being Indonesian, we visit there a lot and I'm always happy to enjoy the cornucopia of club football there on weekends. You can usually watch English, Spanish, Italian, German and Dutch leagues on free to air. Here you have to be 'lucky' enough to get a team featuring a Korean in order to have the privilege of watching the game.

Download TVU player from the internet and check out either ESPN or ESPN2, each of which will be showing different games.

Did anybody really think they'd show another game while Korea's playing? Not a chance in hell.

The Korean game I can kinda understand (who's going to be watching the French one here bar a few foreigners?), but the other games?? The USA-Ghana game should have been on, but no, we had the whiny Italians and the Czechs three times.

Very, very poor coverage/co-ordination between the three channels.

No, I'd say it was great co-ordination between the channels. They forced people to not choose what match and thus eliminated a decision themselves on which match more people would want to watch. If one channel showed the different match, they might have gotten more viewers and that might help some other way.

Oh well.

BOTH games are on at the same time NOW

Spain vs. Saudi on MBC
Tunisia vs. Ukraine on SBS

The main networks. Don't need extended cable to get both games.

And as for replay: there were FOUR different games replayed at the same time this afternoon and none involved the Korean team.

The coverage has been great. Not perfect, but pretty good. Hellavu better than used to be back in my home country.

Yeah. Imagine the super bowl could be carried by NBC, CBS, and ABC. It's then a bit like wondering why one of the networks isn't showing a Friends re-run instead of the super bowl...

That's a bit of a stupid and irrelevant comparison. Of course the Super Bowl would be more watched by 99% of the people, thus the stations would love to show it.

A better comparison would be somethin like the AFC champ game is on 3 channels and no channel shows the NFC champ game which is showing at the same time. A better idea would be to have at least one station showing each, and let the people decide what they want to watch.

Judging by your handle aren't you from Vancouver Island? We get every game and replays of most games also.
