If there's one inanimate object I'm most fond of, besides sandwiches and Gary Payton, it's T-shirts. It's the ultimate article of expression (not to mention comfort), and tells a lot about a person.

Having lived in Korea for nearly 6 years, my search has been somewhat inactive, due to my discerning taste and a substantial lack of good product.

I've flirted with a few good ones, but the T's I've bought here invariably turn out to be one-night stands. And I need a stable relationship. No shrinking or turning into a beach umbrella after one wash, what I want is a T that I can spend the next 5-10 years of my life with, without fear of abandonment (or color fading).

I want to find the perfect T-shirt.

Relatedly, I'd like to hear any Favorite T-shirt anecdotes from youse guys (and gals). A solid T-shirt story -- good or bad -- is riveting to me. Seriously.

If you have a passionate T-shirt tale, send me an e-mail to [email protected], or post it in the comments section of the identical Psychedelic Kimchi post.

Photos are encouraged, but not required.

E

PS - No V-necks.

I also love this one

I got both from my friends head shop, 100 percent cotton, made in California.

Oh, forgot this one...been with me forever.

I've had fun with my grey t-shirt that reads in big bold letters: I'M SO BAD I VACATION IN DETROIT. In the US, I got a lot of strange looks from people, especially when I walk into seedy bars wearing it.

I was in Jeju city last summer in the underground shopping mall and saw a t-shirt that had a picture of a man going down on a woman. The tag below the picture read "Eat out more often".

Once upon a time I was in St Louis blowing through the airport when I saw the greatest T-shirt: A cartoon head shot of Tanny Fay Baker with her legendary piles of mascara/eyeliner/lipstick completely smeared.
The caption below read: "I ran into Tammy Fay" Very Happy
I still regret not buying it.

The one T-shirt I do have that's mint is a "Monkey Business--Crew"
Spent some time on that yacht in the Bahamas and the captain gave me a couple of Monkey Business T-shirts....this was long after Gary Hart's infamous photo with Donna Rice tanked his Democratic presidential bid. Over the years people have offered to buy the T-shirt from me (!) Maybe I should put it up for sale on E-Bay Very Happy
I also got the goss on exactly how Gary Hart got nabbed with Ms Rice that day. Let's just say the owner of the Monkey Business/Turnberry Isle at the time was a Republican.

Don't know if it's my fave, but I laughed when I saw that one Homer was wearing when he was in Brazil.

I still think the tiger-hugging-elk T-shirt would be the gold standard against which all other T-shirts would be judged.

Anyone know how the hell I would go about getting one made?

(Caption suggestions also encouraged)

Is the image downloadable from the internet? You can buy blank sheets of "iron-on" that go through a printer.
