I have some great TSA locks I bought in Walmart before i left the USA.
i'd say either get TSA locks or none at all, because you can be assured they'll be cut off if they aren't.
Anyway, mine are combination locks, but there's also a key for the TSA. the cool thing is, if the locks are opened with the key, there's a light that switches from green to red, so you know they've been unlocked.
fortunately, mine were still green when i got to korea, so i know nobody went through my luggage |
Awesome feedback, JMoore...that's just what I wanted to know! |

I got the same TSA locks at Wal-Mart and they were not touched at all. All my contraband got through with no problems. |

I, too, have used the TSA-approved locks with no problem.
I think that the reason books aren't included in the air carriers' liability is because if your suitcase gets wet (for example, if it's raining, or something in someone else's bag leaks), then books are easily damaged. Short of wrapping everyones bags in plastic wrap, there's not much the airlines can do about that. |
