Download Daemon-Tools, the first one on the list. Mount the image (mdf file) using these instructions:

I use Nero in English, so I'm not sure if the menus are all in the same locations.

However, choosing "Recorder" (리코더 ?) from the top menu, then "Burn image". Select "all files" in the "view" window and open it up.

The same as if it were an ".nrg" or ".iso" (files Nero uses). It will ask you for the type of image...choose that and go nuts.

If you're having trouble with Kor Nero, download this:

http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_decrypter.cfm (couple of others on this page, but I've never tried any of them.)

It works great with DVDs and CDs for MDS/MDF, BIN, and ISOs, among others. Won't work for burning video files though.

Sorry, maybe I should've worded that differently.

Files it deals with are:

.BIN
.CDI
.CDR
.DVD
.GI
.IMG
.ISO
.LST
.MDS
.NRG
.PDI
.UDI

It won't do Windows Movie, .AVI, MP3, etc. Many people like to drag and drop multiple files onto a DVD or double-layer DVD - can't with this. Think of it more simply as only NERO's Burning ROM.

you can change lanuages on Nero, found that out.

I dont think Nero recognizes mdf. I tried to open the game in the viewer, but it showed up blank.

Alcohol 120% does...so does the DVDDecrypter program that I posted for you. I have done a LOT of burning with it and have never had any problems, although I have with both NERO and Alcohol(although some of it can be blamed on user error...al least initially). It's a great free progam. No patches, no keys, no upgrades, no freezing and failing. Give it a try.

Also, although I try to avoid the MDS/MDF thing, from what I recall, you want the MDS, not the MDF when you are trying to burn.

Nero recognizes any image file.

The problem is, that when you go to "open image" or whatever it is, the search window is only going to show 2 types of files. .nrg or .iso. If you choose to "show all files" in the lower portion of the search window, you can select any image file. Nero will then ask for you to choose if it is mode 1 or 2 and the block size. Easy enough, because of you are wrong, it will ask again. Do it until Nero goes ahead with the burn.

CDMage can show you this info beforehand if you like.

MDF/MDS...who would try to burn a 40kb file? Burn the big one. Do you even know what an MDS file is for?

Nero burns .avi, .mpeg/.mpg, MP3...any files to CD/DVD. Just choose to burn a new data compilation (UDF or ISO) and drag and drop. I have burned thousands of movie and music files onto DVD with Nero only....I use nothing else.

If it doesn't work for you, then frankly, you don't know how to use the program. You don't seriously think that given Nero's incredible popularity, one couldn't make an MP3/AVI/MPEG compilation?

Take a look at the files that DVDDecrypter recognizes as listed above. Yes, I know what the MDS file is for. And, yes, I have burned MDF files successfully before using DVDDecrypter...I did so by selected the MDS file and then the program did what was necessary. It also shows BIN files as being recognized, not CUE, but people who don't have a lot of experience may not know which of the two files to choose after downloading. Also, I said that a user would not be able to make a video compilation using DVDDecrypter, not NERO.

Quote:
Just set DVD Decrypter to Iso Write mode and then browse to and select either the mds file or the iso file itself.

Just because the programs do things a little differently, doesn't mean that I'm wrong in what I said.

Also, if T-Dot is using the software that came with his com or new burner or whatever, it may not have the burning rom functionality. I just got a new GSA-H10N and it only came with NERO Express, so I had to go yet again to find sth that would do everything on the internet. Until he finds a good d/l, he can use the DVDDecrypter in the interim.
