Hey,
Has anyone out there ever had success buying a good quality suit, or having one tailored, in Daegu or Busan?
Any tips on stores or areas to check out would be much appreciated.
Thanks a lot,

I've not been in Dae-gu for a long time, so not sure about the clothing areas. In Boo-sahn, you can go around traditional clothing markets like Jin-shi-jahng(Busan Jin Market). They have a *beep*-load of material to choose from at the market at good prices. You can take what you purchased across the street or around the corner. There's a fair amt of tailors around there. That's probably the cheapest way to do things. Even though it might take between 2-and-4 days to be completed, you get a great suit for between 200,000 and 500,000(probably cost you at least double back home). |

perhaps you are on a time retstraint, but I would suggest taking a holiday to Thailand and getting some tailored.I just bought 3 silk/cashmere blend for 250.00 US and I am sure if you haggle long enough you could do better than that. I have had several jackets and an overcoat tailored in Thailand and they have all have proved to be long wearing and of decent quality. I would not get anything tailored here, though I might buy off the rack if cheap enough. |
