Draw.
Holland, 1945 vs. Ghost
(Not sure if this was your intent. Not sure I care either.) |

Oh, Flotsman, sometimes I feel that you're the only one who gets me (but what's up with the draw?).
As for your matchup, I'll leave it up to a NMH fan.
I have this:
Rebel Without a Pause vs. Welcome to the Terrordome

With regards to said fight;

I say screw dat, the slower songs on the album would maul those two songs in a fight. So I propose an intercontinental tag team championship match.

Fake Plastic Trees vs. Karma Police |
Now this fight is a little difficult to call, so here's my prediction on what might happen;
I think Fake Plastic Trees would start out strong and have the intitial advantage, possibly getting Karma Police down for a two count. But, then I suspect there would be some shenanigans, with Paranoid Android entering the ring and hitting Fake Plastic Trees with a steel chair, enabling Karma Police to pin him for the three count.
Not an honorable win, but a win none the less to Karma Police. |

I have decided this cannot be done. Uh-uh. Uh-uh. Uh-uh.
But, this also I have decided:
Oh Comely vs. Two Headed boy part 2
And the winner is....
Two Headed boy part 2!!!!
Come on down!! (I like my angst wailing.)
Next up, a three-way:
Neighborhood #1(Tunnels) vs. No Cars Go vs. Headlights Look Like Diamonds
Take THAT. |

As a general rule of thumb, I try to steer clear of three-ways. Because;
a) everyone will just feel akward afterwards
b) chances are its just gonna be a sausage party anyway.
But upon reading the following proposal, I think I'm gonna have to dirty my hands and give it a go;

When I first read this I thought, it's a no brainer 'Neighborhood #1(Tunnels)'...easy winner. The new stuffs way better, and who am I to stand in the way of progress. But, then I relistened to the other two, and now I've got my doubts.
ummm....it's close but I may have to give it to Headlights Look Like Diamonds
Now, for the next fight, I'd like to see Sufjan Stevens battling it out with himself (fighting those inner Christian demons) with;
Chicago vs. Casimir Pulaski Day
Who's ya money on?? |

Not even close. And the winner is:
Casimir Pulaski Day
Come on down!!
But two things:
First, a question as I feel you may know the answer to: Just how "Christian" is NMH? I think, not so much. But I have heard some smart people go on about Indie conspiracy theory til I just...look... .
Second:
The Number Song vs. Building Steam With A Grain Of Salt
Deal.
**Edit**
Is and ls look alike.

Lose Oneself defeats Uncomely in a victory more lopsided than Game 1 of the 1992 NBA Finals.
How about
Bigmouth Strikes Again vs. There Is A Light That Never Goes Out
?

Numbers, because it has a wicked -- not in the biblical sense -- drum beat; and Steam, while it indeed builds, doesn't match the former's tenacity.
Edit: I think, a few months ago, I incorrectly mentioned in a Psychedelic Kimchi post that BSWaGoS was featured in a commercial for KIA. That was actually What Does Your Soul Look Like (Part 4).
Obviously I feel bad about the mix-up.

Twat.
Stop plugging your diary.
P.S. The twat bit was only about the DJ Shadow mix-up. |

There is a Light, being one of the most purdy pop songs ever, has to kick tail... |

This I don't know, but I do know I disagree with Tiberious aka Sparkles judgement.
Don't get me wrong 'The Number Song' is great, but in this fight I'm backing the red corner with Buliding Steam With A Grain Of Salt.
Either way both songs (well basically the whole album) make me feel homeless, cold, damp and claustraphobic. If you too want to feel like this, watch the documentary 'Dark Days'. Amazing stuff, a documentary about/by people living in the bowels of Manhatten (some abandoned subway tunnels), and it has a DJ shadow soundtrack. Definetly worth a watch. |
