My wife's parents have bought her a plot of land between Ulsan and Busan. It is inland about 20 minutes drive from Ulsan and about 35 from Busan.

It cost 40,000,000Won. It is 100 Pyeong in size.

I am wondering if it seems like a sound investment. What kind of return can be gotten from land in the medium term in Korea?

The new mayor has promised to develop the area, including a new city park. Now I just sit and pray.

Isn't there some worldwide real estate bubble that's going to destroy us all? Maybe they can use that tract of a land as a hideout while the rest of the world slides into economic chaos and war.

The land is agricultural at the moment. It is quite close to the edge of Ulsan but it is still rural at the moment and it is near the new highway that is under construction.
