Well..how many heard all the negative views towards the swiss today? They will be hated and scorned for centuries. Wonder if any Swiss will contemplate visiting korea anytime soon? On a positive side...the swiss now take top place as most hated with japan second and America third. Shocked

Where do you live that people are that backward thinking? I haven't met anyone who has a grudge against the Swiss! They have a grudge against the ref though -- that much is true.

One of my third grade classes came in on Monday with a real hate-on for the Swiss. I was embarrassed to have them in my classroom.

Where do you live. My middle school students NOW HAVE serious hate on for swiss. They were all on about cheering for the Ukrainians and they could barely say Ukrania and we had to look it up on the map so they knew where it was.

I live about 20 minutes from Seoul!

And the swiss are NOT popular right now. But don't worry America or Japan will do something to tick them off and all will be right in the surreal world again. LOL.

You're basing the whole country's sentiment on a group of 15 year-olds.

This reminds me of one interview with a western grownup gamer I saw on tv years ago.

"These Koreans play this game(Starcraft) dirty. I was never racist, but I think I will change..."

BTW, yesterday I got two spam mails advertising Rolex watches... Someone's gotta be kidding me..Smile

No but the teachers here (they are not 15) are none to happy either. And dude are you cranky or what????? Yes they are p.o.'ed at the Swiss and they will get over it. I find it funny and wasn't trying to be all that serious. Sorry. Maybe a cup of coffee will help you.

(sidenote to Mr. Cranky pants) I see over 1000 students a week and attitudes frequently come from parents. I was just saying that I have heard nothing about the ref but a heck of alot about the "EVIL SWISS".

Of the 10 soccer themed essays I had turned in yesterday, 4 were chock full of anti-Swiss messages.

How ludacris.

My kids were pretty mad at the swiss on Monday.

I couldn't quite figure it out. Its an argument about 1 goal? Switzerland won 2-0. Take away that one goal, that's still a 1-0 win. Give a penalty kick to Korea and that's a 1-1 tie. Switzerland still advances. Korea was robbed how?

They just were Evil or Very Mad !

At least that's how I understand the current logic amongst my teens.

It's not hard to figure out. Korean players might have lost their spirit and been psychologically damaged a lot when it became 2-0. They might be saying Korea was robbed of you-never-know-until-the-end-of-the-game-and-miracles-happen chances. If you really want, try this way to understand. Smile
