2. Too bad for you this wasnt amusing. Keep trying, maybe you will one day regail an amusing anecdote. One day, but not today.

I wasnt the only one to react to your "amusing anecdote"(sic) with less than little enthusiasm.

I'm not too concerned with other nations gullability, because I don't live there. I live here and sometimes the Korean gullability affects us expats in a bad way. Especially all the crap that went on with the death's of thopse girls. Man those were difficult times, with all the crap they so easily believed.
Everyone knows they were killed by giant Unidentified Fan Objects.

i was the other one to react. i really enjoyed the anecdote, and the 'less than little enthusiasm' in my comment was meant only in jest.

i think there is some truth to this. it does not breed individual thought.

Bill Brasky?
I heard he wears a live rattlesnake as a condom!

Well, some have put forth some interesting thoughts. The "I know you are, but what am I" gets real tiring.

Of course, any time you throw out a theory about the locals, you've got some guy saying "No, because I know a couple of Koreans who don't believe/do that". Well, guess what- I do, too.
So do you think these handful of people that we know represent the whole of Korea? Not at all. They are so much more than likely to be exceptions.

Now, to point out that Americans(or whoever) believe in creationism(or whatever), so they are also gullible. Apples and oranges.
The groups holding these foolish beliefs really are not a majority- as much as some slanted reports try to make them out to be.

When I talked about the things that Koreans believe, I was pointing out things that most Koreans believe without question.

Everything I pointed out, most Koreans believe hook, line & sinker.

It comes from Confucianism- don't question, no debate, no skepticism, etc.

it can be seen in the schools as well. memorization is rewarded. individual, original thought is not.
