I think I'm settling on Busan, Korea and may be leaving very soon. I hear theres a good sized community of expats there... How many westerners/English teachers would you say actually live there? Are we talking tens or hundreds? |

At least upper hundreds. I heard the number 700 for Daegu, which is slightly smaller. Check out http://www.pusanweb.com/. |

| Hundreds in Busan for sure.....probably even thousands. Not only is there a Huge ESL community but there are also many Russians and other foreigners as well. |

OK, What's the deal with the Russians. Are they there speaking Russian and no English. Silly question maybe. Everytime I see that Russians get brought up, there is a calm aura of understanding that resonates the conversation. Is there some hidden agenda or what? I think that I have heard them mostly referred to as prostitutes on here. What gives? |

| It seems I read somewhere around 75,000 "Westerners" in SK. Does this sound right? Also, does anyone have an idea about this in # Seoul specifically. I'm also considering Busan and Seoul so I'm curious as well. |
