I'm thinking about a position in Sillim...need some information on that part of town. What is there to do there? What's the environment like? Thanks. |

Silim is cool... I have a friend who lives there. It's an OK distance to places, but there's plenty of action on the main street in Silim, a ton of shops and eateries
Downside: the streets are littered with cards for call girls and there are tons of love motels just off the main street. Wouldn't bother me but I guess it would some people... |

I lived there for a year.
Yeah, tons of message parlors, twirling barbor poles, and even a little red light window area next to the river. love motel galore.
There are also quite a few regular Korean bars around.. Led Zeppelin is a request music bar.. one of my favorites in the area with live bands on weekends. Quite a few galbi restaurants in there as well.
Most of the time I found myself heading up to Itaewon or over to HongDae.. but Sillim was alright for living for awhile. Much better than most other places in Korea anyways. |
