I can't wait. The beautiful sunsets, warm waters, yoga and more!

Will it be your first time in the country?

I can't imagine going to India only to sit on a beach.

That's the biggest sterile tourist trap in India I hear. Might as well be in Thailand or the Philippines or the southern coast of China.

Here's hoping it's only a part of a week-plus trip or else you've been to India several times already.

three trips to India myself and I have managed to avoid it every time. Kovalam in Kerala is worth checking out, but will be as bad as Goa eventually. Tamil Nadu has some nice beaches too.

TY for the input. This is my first trip. Well not really but this will be my first time in in India. I'm going for medical tourism first then recreation, then tourism. I might visit the high tech business sectors. TY for the advice. I'm not too harsh on tourist trap places. I've been to the off the beaten track places and I wanted to get back some amentities ASAP. I'm looking forward to a more pernmissive atmosphere there. Do you understand? I investiaged fishing there and it seems they are proud of a giant carp called a Masheer. Is there a permissive atmosphere in Kerala and Tamil Nadu?

Cheap surgery? Then jet skiing, beach volleyball, etc,... then sightseeing.

Alright then. Doesn't sound so bad a choice.

For many travellers, history, culture, nature and authentic experiences aren't so important. Some people are perfectly happy going to Honolulu and Las Vegas as their only contact with America. So be it.

I don't understand. What kind of permissiveness are you seeking? Drugs? Prostitution? Whale hunting? or simply men walking down the street holding hands and parties until dawn?

So how did the eye surgery and dentistry in the Phillipines go?

The dental surgery went fine but I didn't get the eye surgery. I told you I was going to get the eye surgery in PI but I didn't. That makes me a filthy liar. OK? I'm going to India for that as well as as some cosmetic surgery. You can never be too handsome for the Koreans. I can bring back some skin whitening cream if anyone wants some.

Hey filthy liar- you sound like you got bad eyes and money to burn; Get the eye surgery, you won't regret it. Money well spent. Do it in Korea if you're uncertain about the Phillipines or India.

so how was Goa anyways?

(not that I'm going - just curious your impressions)

Okay, okay.. I'll admit it.. I was doing searches for Honolulu.. and this thread came up.

p.s. 'Goa Vacation Report' is a bit misleading when there isn't a report.. Evil or Very Mad Wink
