agree about technology and offside. offside is the biggest one where it's needed. and it wouldn't disrupt the game because we have instant replays now anyway. just thinking out loud but perhaps they could let play continue if the linesman's not totally sure, then call for a replay if a goal is scored. if it's offside bring it back, if not, the goal stands....
if a guy is 5 yards offside then stop instantly, but in those ones where it's milimetres let it go and then use the video. just a thought, but something needs to be done coz every match, due to our access to instant replays, we see dud offside call after dud offside call and it ruins matches. |

| However, that's all part of the drama of the WC and the Aussies got their first taste of it. |
Right. Boo bloody hoo Australia, welcome to the world cup of the international sport. It doesn't always go your way - christ, and you call us whingeing poms. |
If you actually read all the posts, majority of us Aussies agreed that Italy played the better game and Aus lacked spark....
ps yes, you do whinge....that's why we let you have the Ashes, to shut you all up for once. |
Well, I wasn't specifically referring to comments on this board, more the email circulars and stuff online, and comments in general from Australian people I know~ Anyone would think you were Greek, or Korean or something. Oh, listen to me, some of my best friends are Australian, bless you.
et cetera... |

| I hope the Ukrainians win. Ive never liked the Italians. A team with no character or honor. I wish them one thing: get cheated in the game. |

I remember a player I played against in under 16. We ended up playing together the same season on the select team (all-star) and in under 18. Anyway, in this house-league game with no netting, he raised his arms and cheered on a missed goal. The referee couldn't see it clearly and it was called a goal. It was clearly a good 3 or 4 feet outside the goal post.
The Italians reminded me of him although he was of German decent.
A lot of these guys, no matter what country, fake it and cheat. |

Well, I'm not sure what you mean by 'these guys' but anyway, I would step in to say only one thing, nobody cheats like Argentina, and they totally got what they deserved last night. What a bunch of cunts. |
