in your most memorable moment in Korea thus far.

Man this is tough....uh.....hmmm...this is tough.

Ok......when I had first arrived, my wife and I went out to dinner. Keep in mind that my Korean was extremely low level then. We went to a popular Shabu Shabu restaurant. I was under the assumption (I don't know why) that in Korean, as one does in Spanish, to change the way you address someone is as simple as changing the o (masculine form in Spanish) at the end of a word to an a (feminine form in Spanish). So at the restaurant, I said "chageeya". LOLOLOL The whole place went silent because I had to say it very loudly as it was too noisy for the waitress lady to hear me. lolololol I never understood why it happened until months later, I learned what Chageeya meant.

I was part of the production of "Accidental Death of an Anarchist" in Busan about a month ago. The whole experience was outta this country!

Also had a gig at the end of my first year here that was just fantastic!

I think my most memorable moment came way back in the summer of '96. I was working at a research institute in Daedok, Taejon. Everyone was in a kind of tizzy because two or three armed NORK infiltrators had been spotted across the mountain in Buyo and the reserve was put on alert. That meant the young guys had to stay in the institute all night and march around with their M-16s (or whatever) guarding the place. I thought this was pretty cool. I had no idea the basement of my workplace was an arsenal.

I biked in to work the next morning for my 7:30 class, opened my office door, flicked on the light and just about crapped my pants when Mr. Lee and his M-16 jumped out of my office chair where he'd been snoozing and pointed his gun at me.

The Korea-Jamaica soccer match at Chamshil stadium in the summer of 1998.

Four crazy guys sat drinking while sitting in the red devil section wearing Jamaicas colors. Two of them took off their clothes and stopped the game with 2 min left on the clock...the crowd cheered, the Koreans didn't know what to do, no one bothered them (except the players who were annoyed) they ran right back to the stands and jumped right back into their seats and after the game, the kids carried us to the Ford explorer while singing and cheering as we made our escape. It was like being a freaking rock star, for once in this dogs life.

The parties after the world cups wins last time in Seoul were out of hand. I had a, shall we say, spontaneous experience, with two young lovlies after the win over Spain...
