Hi all!

I think it would be kind of nice if a whole bunch of foreigners would go out together on a massive cruise or something.

I'm not organized enough to figure out the logistics, but I do think that a thread where we can at least get the user names of people who might be interested in such a thing is a good idea.

So, here's the format:

Location

Bike Model/CC

Maybe if I had a real bike. A 50cc scooter would be lame as hell.

Hah, Jayshi, you have an RX125. Those are hilarious. I had one down in Ulsan and driving on the backroads, just dirt roads coming in off of the seacoast, was choice. Lush, hidden valleys. The way that light thing would fly around, whipping past branches and bounding over knobby, rocky trails....

I have a Hyosung RX125 dirtbike and I'm trying to find some trails near Seoul. I live in Itaewon but venture out of Seoul frequently. Does anyone know of any trails near, next to or just outside of Seoul??? I'd prefer south of the river but would be willing to go pretty much anywhere.

I tried asking some locals but they sent me way up past Uijeongbu. Is there anything closer? Please share the wealth!!!

Wow! You ressurected my first try at a motorbike thread. Nice.

Anyways -- to get to Umyeong-san, you basically just follow the 88 (which is illegal) or a road parallel to it (the one that goes by the W hotel) East. From there, find your way onto hwy 6. From there, keep going until you get to hwy 37 and head north. that 37 leads to some really nice riding!

... and actually ... around there there's some dirt riding to be done. The exact directions are really tough though. I MAY BE WRONG (but again, it's a nice area, so if you get lost, no worries!).

The dirt trails I'm thinking of are actually right near Umyeong-san, so the directions are pretty similar. Follow that hwy 6 easy. You'll go through 4 tunnels in quick succession... then you'll cross a bunch of bridges, go through a few traffic lights. There'll be a gas station/rest stop on your right (if you go on sunday morning, it'll be packed with motorbikers). A bit after that, make a left - there will be a triangle-shaped restaurant to your left where you're supposed to turn (it's a pretty small road). Then follow that road through a little village and aim for the 37 (again). once you get there, ride straight through crossing the 37. After that, continue on through the countryside. Keep on that road -- you'll slowly start going up a mountain (good riding there!) and - at the top of this mountain, there will be some kind of dirt course you can go on.

Happy trails!

Anybody seen a CR500 for sale here?

I nearly bought a motarded one in Thailand just before I left but decided not to waste my money.

Those things can climb walls.
