rteacher, you are well beyond attack. your memiors couldn't possibly be as nonsensical as the drivel you post here on an hourly basis.
anyway, from what i've seen, you're a pretty jolly guy with a thick skin. i don't think being attacked would bother you too much.

Criticism? No problems here, as mentioned, it depends on who is doing the criticizing. Basically, the opinions of those whose opinion you don't give a damn about, don't matter.

...unless they have some authority over you.

Actually, I get paid by my alien friends (in frequent UFO-flyer miles...) to post drivel on an hourly basis to distract people in general from their invasion plans...

yeeesh...I sense trouble with this.
OK...rip it up folks.

and satori...pm me or POST here a link to that music...sounds intriguing.

Actually, why doesn't anyone who makes music do that here? I started a thread about that before but no/very few biters as i recall

I will demure. Last time I linked to music here a bunch of people really got a hate on for me, and started to dump huge piles of sh*t on me and my music ever sinse then. They never articulated why, but my guess is that they felt it was grandstanding or somehow drawing more attention to myself than they considered seemly. These people have mainly moved on from here to the other two boards, but Dogbert is still around, I remember him clearly writing that the reason he hated me so much was because I linked to my music.

And here he is right on cue.

Seeing as how in my new incarnation I'm trying not to be dragged down by others into the sandpit of internet crudeness I shall refrain from ripping you a new asshole, and invite you politely to explain to us carefully and in great detail exactly what it was that pissed you off about me linking to music. Come one, I've been civil, here's your chance to get it all out in the open. What's so funny about peace love and understanding?

I wouldn't worry about it. Music is one of the finer things in life; you can't expect fools to appreciate the creation of it.

Hey, people who want to hear "the king of da oldies" can hear my recordings of such hits as "I Go Crazy" and "Come Sail Away" on the karaoke web site www.ksolo.com (I'm "ashron" on that site ... It's kinda expensive - ten bucks a month or a hundred a year, but they have a song list of well over 5000 songs, and I find it useful in my English classes ...)

You dont know? Its the same sort of mentality that caused those idiots to attack Shawner. Why? Because he got published. because he got his head above the sewege that these morons live in. People like dogbert contribute nothing, create nothing, do nothing. Failures in life, they lash out at those who try and do something more.

You take nice pictures. Really.

Damn it.

I can say nice things about Satori and Jinju, but here you have to come and ruin my streak.

So why the picture? And am I remembering wrong that is was you, on another board, who specifically said the reason you don't like me was because of the linking to music?

It's too weird these days I'm afraid to share personal stuff on the web, well, it is with the Korea esl scene anyway. I share my music with other muso's on a board specifically for that purpose, which seems a lot more sensible...

I think you're remembering wrong. I have no objection at all to you linking to anything and it wouldn't matter even if I did. In fact, I followed your link at the time and listened to your piece. I've never met you, so I don't know why you think I don't like you. I've been to New Zealand, met many nice people there and I have no doubt you are a nice man too.

The picture was just being funny.

Dude, I have teased you a lot (and gotten some back), but not in a mean-spirited way and certainly not personally.

@khyber

hmmm...I've been listening to Monsoon in part because of what you said about not having the hook of pop music. It got me thinking because my best friend's old man is a singer/guitarist and he always told us the hook was everything (usually in the context of explaining what was WRONG with my/our efforts). Anyways, there's obviously a hook in Monsoon but it's not forced like a forumulaic pop song. Your singing in Monsoon is sotto voce so maybe that's why the hook is driven by and also offset by the lead guitar line. like in "that's all right . . . it'll rain again tonight." Like I said I listened to Monsoon a bunch more times and for me it's become the strongest probably from the cohesiveness and "ease" of the guitar line set against that inevitable vocal melody.

We're looking forward to Tiger (for my cougar) and congrats on the gigs. Amsterdam. Nice one.

Cheers
