Does anybody know any fun songs to teach middle school kids for Summer English Camp? I'm trying to find something with a summer theme. If it's something the students can act out, even better. Thanks for your help.

What do you do with a drunken sailor, what do you do with a drunken sailor,
What do you do with a drunken sailor, early in the morning...

Shave his ....

OOPS... I guess that won't work....
and it was meant tongue in cheek....

Now on to some reality....

If they are at an intermediate level, then the songs by Ray Stevens are fun to do...and age appropriate. Music and lyrics are available on the net...

I do karaoke and make my own Korean pop song Karaoke (translated).

www.gosing.com has a basic player but I use www.karafun.com player to edit and make my own Karaoke songs.

We can go for hours singing. Lots of cool English pop songs (I just tried Puff daddy, "i'll be missing you", went over great. But also the Korean songs are super. Sometimes I play Korean , sometimes just the English with melody.

Super Junior, you ar the One and Miracle work well . I also do a lot of Sweetbox, all their songs on Karaoke.

You can do a lyric cloze and students listen and fill in . Then turn on the tv and mike and sing, students correct their lyric sheet as the song goes along.

Hey, I even got kids making the songs for me, on the editor!!!

But if anyone has any good Korean pop songs to tip me on, please mention!!!!!! A great translation site is www.aheeyah.com/lyrics

All I can add here.......

I like the Wee Sing series, particularly "Wee Sing in the Car." Great for summer, has a lot of songs about camping, mountains, summer activities.
