Do any of you musically talented people know where one might find printable guitar chords for camp-fire songs on the Internet?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I can't find exactly what you are looking for. I can find lyrics with no chords but not both.

try this:
http://www.chordie.com/chord.pere/getsome.org/guitar/olga/chordpro/1-9/10000.Maniacs/ACampfireSong.chopro

Thanks - but what I'm looking for is chords to generic camp fire songs in general, not the 10,000 Maniacs' song - things like The Ants Go Marching On and Kumbaya - stuff like that.

Strangely enough, I was just thinking about that. Well, not specifically "campfire songs", but camp songs for early learners.

There are a few here:
http://www.fretplay.com/tabs/m/misc_childrens/

and here:

http://www.tabpower.com/a3988.html

And here:

http://www.musicnotes.com/styles/children.asp

They're actually tab written for kids, but the songs are ass easy, so even my dummies might be albe to sing them.

If you want a specific song search "guitar tabs 'song'"

Hi John, what exactly do you mean by 'tab'? Is that the same as a chord? The first site has a few songs I'd could try but the second and third don't seem to have chords.

Thanks, 범석

Ok, try this one:

http://www.iol.ie/~murphypj/

scroll down the left side until you get to the "folk songs", click on that link.

You can also search each song individually, but that takes time.

Just go to altavista or google, type in the song name followed by chords and lyrics.

You should be able to find something useful.

I hope this was helpful.

a TAB is a kind of notation used for various instruments, that doesn't require you to be able to read music. for guitar and bass, it shows what fret on what string to put your fingers. for example, here's an open Gmaj7 chord:

E----2--------
B----0--------
G----X-------
D----0-------
A----2-------
E----3-------

make sense?

Hey Some Waygug-in, I know hardly any of the folk songs on that site, but I think I modify this one to fit the bill.

G C G
This land is my land, this land's not your land
D7 G
From the Yalu river to Jeju Island
C G
From the dry brown forest to polluted waters
D7 G
Uri jo hada kimchi

try the "old stuff" link as well.

There are some old Hank Williams tunes you might be able to use.

Scroll through the various artists on the left, there might be something there that you can use.

Also, try this one:

http://www.pegusisfreeware.com/musicdb/

There might be something useful in the miscellaneous sections.

Good Luck.

No it doesn't, actually. I'm getting three of my students to bring along their guitars - it might make sense to them. What I'm looking for more is the lyrics with the right chords posted above them.

But thanks for the attempted explanation.

In case when posted the alignment goes out, the caps change that means a key change. Hope this is right.

G D7
Kum ba yah my lord kum ba YA

G C G
Kum ba yah my lord KUM BA ya

C G D7 G
Oh LORD kum ba YAH

C G D7 G
