Is this #7? Maybe its a summer clearance 'sale' to clear the shelves for the new fall models of ICBMs. |

Ya, the warranty might be up in a few days so he thought he would shoot them off and hope they fell into the ocean. Replacement missles, aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! |

The question now is: Is KJI's administration now past its date of expiration? |

I think that the U.S. better try to avoid a war with North Korea - unless determined warmongers think that millions of casualties (including many of us EFL teachers... ) is acceptable. If push comes to shove in a certain way, China is likely to back Korea again (and even Russia may be tempted to...) Some U.S. militarists and political ideologues may be willing to take those perceived adversaries on as well, but that would probably result in all-out nuclear war that would destroy practically all major cities of the world and kill billions of people... |

I don't see war in the cards at this time.
I do see mounting pressure on the Chinese and Ruskies to stop their empty rhetoric about a multipolar world and actually do something to shoulder their share of the burden and begin to make a multipolar world a reality. People tend to forget the US didn't set out to make this a unipolar world. It's just that all the rivals self-destructed and left us alone on top.
The Norks having nukes and an active missile export program is a threat to everyone. Who is to say who they will sell missiles and/or bombs to? |

The last time two developed countries went to war with each other was in World War II.
In the last 60 years, how many cross-border invasions have we seen? Ummm...Iraq into Kuwait; China into Vietnam; those two dinky Central American countries that fought over a soccer game; and...? OK. The UK and Argentina over a very limited objective. (and the US vs. Granada, Panama and Iraq).
Direct major state confrontations are not in the cards at this time. |

Vietnam into Cambodia preceded China into Vietnam, IIRC.
Tanzania into Uganda.
Russia into Afghanistan.
Does China into Tibet count? |

China has too much to lose, and nothing to gain by supporting North Korea in an armed conflict. Their leaders know that their future is in economic and not political hegemony. |
