I was planning on going to Pusan this weekend but may not be able to go anymore. A friend took care of getting KTX tickets but I'm not sure if the tickets were reserved or if they were paid for in advance. I know that you can cancel reserved tickets by not showing up (are you charged for the cancelation?), but does anyone know if you can get a refund on tickets you've already paid for?

Yes, you can cancel them and get a refund anytime before the train departs. I think you can even get a refund after the train leaves, but I'm not sure about that. There is a small cancellation fee, but it's not much. Just go to any train station and give them the tickets and ask for a refund.

You can get a refund after the train has departed but they will charge you 30%.

Before it is departed, they will charge you something like 1000 won.
