I took it to a couple of Korean Toshiba shops here in Busan and they all swear that they cannot give me a battery because my Toshiba was manufactured for the US market... I really don't know but I seriously think these "techs" are retarded, lazy, or just having fun not helping out the waygook. I mean, good lord, if I can plug it into a Korean outlet with an adapter (not a converter), why the f*ck shouldn't it work? Batteries are DC? Is there somehow a difference in DC voltage in laptop battery market? lame...
Anyway, I need to find a new primary battery and an auxilliary CD bay battery this month ( I need it for my vacation )... are there any English sites for Toshiba Japan that could send me the goods? These guys over here... man... I just want to wack them with the thing when they say that crap about the batteries not being compatible...

| Technomart and Space 9 aka iPark both have little kiosks that will recondition existing batteries. They put new cells in. |

cant help directly w resources in Busan, but a GOOD battery shop in your electronics area should have the CELLS with which you can replace the cells, yourself - if you are half-way adept. Or you may be able to fix a shop in that area willing to do the swap.
Pry the case apart, and carefully map/not the cells and wiring. Take a cell to the battery shop as a sample for all the ones you need - and then replace 'em.
Saves a bundle; retail price for a friends name brand battery pack was
W 100,000. The cells only cost W 32,000 |
