My school is moving soon and I'm trying to help in the process of getting supplies and such. I've been told a number of times that there isn't a Staples or OfficeMax or anything really comparable to it in Seoul, and even so I'm not sure if I'd be able to find exactly what I want, which is this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006IEDY/qid=1152241722/sr=1-7/ref=sr_1_7/103-2338735-6783864?%5Fencoding=UTF8&s=office-products&v=glance&n=1064954

For those who don't want to click on the link, it's a metal Boston pencil sharpener. As near as I can tell, every kid in America grew up with one of these (usually bolted to the wall). As we're also aware, the things are basically indestructible and do a fast and effective job at sharpening pencils. I am sick to death of the poor quality sharpeners that we have at my school, though I can't really blame them as they're all I've seen in the stores (both big and small) around here. I tried ordering from Amazon, but couldn't even get an estimate at the shipping cost (I'm thinking it'll be more than the sharpeners themselvs) over here. Anyone have any ideas?

Tell me about it.

Of the 10 or so pencil sharpeners in my hagwon (all various cute brands like Hello Kitty and Mashimaro or something) about 1 works properly. And they keep replacing them with another crappy kiddie sharpener with fluffy bunnies on it!!!

Cigar Guy.....The big stationary chain store is Linko's. I see them everywhere. One in CO-EX for a start.

The problem here is that, if you get the kids to use the Boston KS sharpener, they won't know when to stop. Say what you want about the pencil sharpeners over here, but at least they stop sharpening pencils when the pencils are done being sharpened.

Stick with the limb-severing exacto knives that all the kids are encouraged to use.

It's like giving a machete to a monkey.

Amazon doesn't ship anything but books internationally.

You're right. They ship books, DVDs, and CDs. If you want anything else, you're out of luck...

Why can't you get one of your relatives or friends to go to the store back home and then send it to you. That is the easiest way for you to go. If you have no family who can help, then maybe you can find a used one on e-bay or something.
