Why do you enjoy offending 'retarded people' so much? This attitude is disgusting, especially coming from someone who has supposedly been a teacher. I shudder to think what kind of things you taught your kids. Is this the kind of thing that you are teaching your little boy too?
I, and I imagine countless others, would much rather have a few drinks with a 'retarded person' than a tw@t like you. |
Oh, man, remember those days when we were kids and our parents could take us to bars? I learned to play Space Invaders there... |

Yes. Double Dragon in my case. Anyone else recall this 80s arcade classic? |

As opposed to normal people, who only ever act sanely and intelligently while drunk... facial features aside, I'm not entirely sure how you could tell a drunk retarded person from some of the retarded drunk people I've met. |

I really feel bad that you hate me.
I, on the other hand, find you enchanting.
By the way, would you be interested in making an extra 500 bucks? You'll have to earn every penny it! |

The incongruity is startling. |
I know!
I'm quite ashamed of myself.
I should have only offered the midget 250. |

| I don't think you ought to quit drinking at all. Get some absinthe (food for thought of Hemmingway, etc..), a beret, and get writing. I don't write, or drink absinthe, but I'm interested in the midget..... |

Otis,
I used to be the same as you. I don't want to write about all the stupid things I did. Instead, I want to offer a suggestion because it has worked for me. People like you and me probably will never stop drinking. The two week plan of yours will probably last two nights. I'm not trying to be negative, I hope you reach your goal. If you don't however, try what I now do. I drink alone. I know this will get flamed by everyone out there, but it works. I buy my booze, rent DVDs, sit on the sofa and get wasted. I don't bother anyone, it's cheap, I don't get into fights anymore. I get drunk at my own pace. Nothing upsets me. I fall asleep and haven't hurt anyone. You may think it's boring at first, but you get used to it. |

Do you ever wander outside and do stupid *beep*, though? Almost every time I get drunk alone, I end up doing that. I'll wander around, try to meet random people, possibly end up naked and/or pissing on a car. Or, even worse, I'll start calling people up. Almost never turns out well. |

Qinella,
I don't wander around outside, but I do call people. Make sure to stock up on calling cards. I try to rent DVDs or watch shows or read books that are really thought provoking too. Keep the mind occupied with something and then I'm less likely to feel the urge to have my voice heard. I don't know, I guess I just tell myself that it's me, this bottle and the tv and accept it as that. Funny thing is, whenever I do go to a bar now, I actually end up looking forward to going home and drinking alone. I get tired of all the other people and their antics, their stories, their bravado. |

| The other thing is, you have to take sex out of the equation. I have a girlfriend so I don't have to prowl the bars, but it's tough to stay home and drink if you are single and horny. |

That sounds sensible. I'm also not just a social drinker. I do most of it solo. In fact the social aspect is not always that great anyway. Plus bars aren't cheap, except those HOFs with the 2000 won per 500ml or so.
The dumbest thing I tend to do is stay up too late/ drink too much. |

Hanging out alone when you are really drunk is a terrible idea. I agree that it's best to stay at home, watch some movies, get ripped and go to bed.
But it takes a little discipline. You'll make an excuse to go out, discover that you are horney or lonely, and start looking for trouble. It will find you.
Not drinking for a week or two is never a bad idea. I find that my atitude towards and enjoyment of Korea increases fourfold when I'm not drunk all the time.
On the other hand, moderating the booze -- just a couple shots of soju or a beer or two is harmelss and enjoyable. But it isn't so easy to stop there, is it?
I disagree that retarded people should not be able to drink. They deserve the same privillages and responsibilities as any of us. They know they are retarded. Many of them have an excellent sense of humor about it. |
