Haebongchong/Iteawon foreigner Fest this weekend.
(I think)

Stop by for food, beer, music and mirthful chicanery.

There's gonna be a lot of diffent performances. It might even be kinda cultural. If ya have time, run on over there.
The performances are spread amoung three bars so that in itself should be fun.

If you don't kow where the bars are here's how:

Noksapyong station. Exit 1. Go straight on down the street. Keep left. You'll see Phillies. ZZen ab Orange Tree are near by.

Keep an eye out for the Watermelon Man performance.

Now quit reading this and get on over there!

So, did anyone make it to the festival?

I had a great time there, too much fun!

A lot of great performances, especially the surreal Watermelon Man...wow.
Three bars near each other with different performances, loads of people going back and forth, hanging out in the streets, gallons of beer consumed, a good time had by all.

Hats off to Lance and Jim for getting it all organized and all the equipment set up.

I'm really starting to notice the generation gap these days... standing around on the street all night in a drunken stupor, yay!

And thanks to the individuals who hooted and hollered on their roof until 11am yesterday. I especially enjoyed the incessant cackle from one of the women. The mind boggles as to what one might find so hilarious for hours on end. What's it like dating the Wicked Witch of the West?

At least the Koreans aren't alone in having no consideration for their neighbors. Ignorance knows no borders, it seems.
