I think protesting has its place in a free society, but some of the crackpots go too far and get a little too obnoxious. I despise police brutality but this is funny. I can picture this nut fighting the police and being a real idiot. She would have said FU what can you do A#Shole
At the end she looks real cooperative
Or maybe i'm the A#shole? |

On the surface it seemed as if there was no real reason for the taser to be used. There we like two cops on her already cuffing her, and the third cop zapped her. At least that is what I think happened. On the other hand in the back ground there is another person being contained, and I suspect that there is more going on than what is seen.
I would suspect that if it is a large demonstration involving multiple arrests then most likely the police were looking for the fastest method to control the situation without having to club someone unconcious.
If that in fact is the case then it sucks to be the silly lady who decided to shoot her mouth off and resist arrest.
If that in fact is not the case and it is just two people then I have to say they probably got a bit carried away. Having been zapped with a stun gun I will say that the damn things hurt like a son of a gun and I would not wish it on someone as a joke. |

Have you ever actually been to a protest in Korea? I mean like the mid-90s and earlier style ones with Moltov cocktails and teargas? |

Yeah, I have. And tasering a protestor seems actually quite civilized.
The police got the situation under control. What did the protestors think was going to happen when they protested? |

Well, the girl was on the ground already and surrounded by big burly cops... seems excessive, but then again, much like Rodney King we don't get to see what happened beforehand.
Still, I'd love to know just how Jaws can assume the protester was
a) a crackpot
b) fighting the police
c) being an idiot
and
d) said, "FU what can you do AHole"
Her being cooperative is the end justifying the means?? Hate to see you disciplining Korean kids who don't listen to their teacher.

About halfway through the video when he says, "on your belly", he looks rather guilty. The write-up says they were having trouble handcuffing her. I'd say you'd probably have a hard time cuffing me too while I'm being shocked. Zappp! Lie still! Zapp!! Lie still. Um.....isn't that kind of oxymoronic? Or just moronic? |
