Is anyone interested in taking college level math classes at Osan Air Base? It is located near Songtan Station. Possible courses include:
Statistics
College Algebra
Trigonometry
Calculus I, II, III, IV
Linear Algebra
Differential Equations
Classes are offered through the University of Maryland and tuition is US $516.00 per class. It is my understanding that the professor (me) can sign students onto the base and escort them to class.
This is a good opportunity to earn a high school math certification. |

It is possible to schedule the classes for Saturday. The normal UMUC term is 8 weeks so a class that meets on Saturday would have to be 4 or 5 hours long. |

I might be interested in the stats offering, if I could get an idea of what the course would cover. I'm self taught in statistics, but am pretty solid at the basics. Going just above that level would be good for me.
I also teach on Saturday, 2-5. I'm free Monday, Wednesday, Friday, though. |

I could teach all those, I believe, if I could remember the stuff. Though I was no ace in Uni math I did fall a few courses short of a major in it. I like to think that's a bit rare for an English lit major. Sorry, feeling blue and felt like propping myself up a bit. |
