Does anyone know or work at Hoseo University? I have an interview next week and would like some information. The posting did not mention vacation time. I assume its somewhere between 2 - 4 months. 2.1 / month with campus housing.. thats pretty much all i know until next week.
All info, good or bad would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |

i was looking for some detailed info ... good as in ??? bad as in??
It would great if i could have his/her email address. I've worked for other unis in the past. And there are some common problems that exist, some good and yes some bad. But its always better having it come from someone who is currently working there, like your friend.
thanks |

Thanks. I looked at their website all long time ago.. that was the first thing i did.
When asking about info regarding Hoseo, i was referring to either teachers who worked or are currently working for them.
But thanks again. |

I was on the 2006 KOTESOL National Conference staff. I didn't work at Hoseo but I did work very closely with people who did work there as well as the director of their TESOL program. These were my impressions:
1. The staff there was very happy with the fact that they had a huge personal office that was same as the offices the tenured faculty.
2. The staff seemed to express that their housing was not bad but that being clustered with the other teachers in the same building reduced some privacy.
3. The director, Dr. Hahm, is a nice guy but a little unpredictable at times.
Hope this helps! I was offered a position there but I turned it down because of personal reasons. I would work there... Cheonan is a small city but there is some nightlife in the downtown area. |
