I haven't done one in a while but I'm going to have a whine. Please feel free to move on.

Crossing my legs is a reflex action for me when I sit down. I actually have to think about it to stop it. Now in normal people's land this would be fine, as my legs would be happily under my desk and nobody would care. However in Korea I've been given a desk that my legs don't fit under (I am tall). So I often have my chair titled sideways and my legs crossed. Now at school Ms CLG does not wear short skirts, they are nearly always knee length or longer so I'm not exposing much except for my calves and if I could find a way to sit comfortably with my legs under my desk, I would. However the Korean teachers are all in a tizzy because the copy boy who sits next to me keeps looking at my legs. So I've been told not to cross my legs. Gaaah! If they are going to make me sit at my desk for hours on end, I at least demand that I be comfortable while doing it.

Whine over.

The Korean teachers all bound around in short skirts at my work. Well, not all and not all the time, but enough. Enough. How do the Korean women at your work dress?

Well, it makes you "competition".

1- for some reason, I'll never know why, women crossing their legs is bad manners in Korea. That's why you see some sitting spread eagle in a skirt. Silly!

2- Korean women, men too, can be fiercely jealous! I remember hearing them just harping about who was wearing what and who was getting more attention and whatnot. They all want to be the "belle of the ball" and it is extremely childish.

I would ignore them. They only want something to harp about.

This sounds like a great chance at getting a new desk.

On a more serious note, I spoke to my fiance about respecting females in Korea last night. She told me that if a girl shows a little skin, i.e... a mini skirt, and gets raped guys will blame her for luring the men with her outfit.

It's time a Korean male took responsibility for himself. When you see him stare at your legs yell "Molba" or what are you looking at.

Some one has to take the Cave out of the Caveman.

Just for the record I have no problem with guys staring at my legs. The Korean teachers have a problem with the guy staring at my legs.A lot of guys are attracted to woman. That's good as we need to reproduce. And honestly I get a little kick out of having a guys head turn when I walk into the room. So if he wants to stare, stare away.

Just as a side rant, I think the more we repress that sort of behavior the more it fetishizes people and demeans women in the long run as men want an outlet for the sexuality and thus why we have a sex industry.
