Well, since the World Cup has ended, the FIFA rankings have changed and the new rankings are out. Canada is now ranked ahead of Korea. Canada has moved up to #54 while Korea is at #56.

(Now before anybody gets angry, just realize I am making fun of both countries)

The FIFA site is still blocked, but you can check it out on other sites.

Apparently Germany went from 19th to 9th. England also moved up a bit ,while Brazil remains on top.

Hehehehe....

This isn't going to go down well!

Remember, many Koreans before Germany 2006 thought they were 4th in the world because they came fourth in Korea/Japan 2002.

Another example of Korean World Cup sillyness......One famous football commentator who works for SBS had the balls to say the Swiss goal actually was onside and the referee was correct to give the goal. So, he is getting blamed by SBS bosses for their channel coming 3rd in the hugely competitive ratings war during the World Cup.

The guy on MBC, Cha Bum Rhee (sp?), ranted most about cheating, Korea being robbed etc. Guess what? MBC won the World Cup ratings war.

That would be Cha DU Rhee actually. He played for the National team in 2002. His father is Cha Bum Rhee who played in the Bundesliga years ago and scored 99 goals. I read an article by him where he said a lot of stuff, including that Korea has nothing to bitch about because the refs helped them in 2002, that the result of this WC was fair and that the ref was not wrong. And other things as well. Pretty much the opposite of what you are trying to say, troll.

Wow, that sounds, actually, honest.

When Cha DU Rhee said something about the call in the Switzelrnad game being a rip off, his father basically told him to shut up.

Which is why MBC really won the ratings war. People were eating it up as son and father argued through the World Cup with father calling son an idiot and stupid every minute.

back to the original topic. It looks like playing in the WC is a bad idea. Nigeria stayed at #11, Cameroon moved up, as did Paraguay. Although Denmark did fall. Asian teams all took a hit.

Meanwhile, Portugal dropped in the standings while England moved up.

Also, Serbia was embarrassed during the World Cup and they moved up 8 spots.

You lost the battle but won the war since you wised up to the truth. Thank me. Now. Do it. Now.

Doesn't make much sense.
