Oh..I think this is a good place for me to ask this.
I have been DYING to try to remember the name of this movie:
1) I don't remember who was in it or the general plot (the lead was a male)
2) Somewhere near the start of the movie, the man is laying on the lawn with his wife when a refridgerator falls outta the sky and lands right on her.

Could someone PLEASE tell me the name of that movie. It's been killing me.

Siam Sunset.
Filmed on locale in our tidy town - Adelaide, and various SA Outback beauty spots such as the Kulgera roadhouse. Siam Sunset was for me just a very little better than any other cringe production in Film Auz's late '90s "we're a weird mob" quirkfest.

For a great screamer from SA, look at Wolf Creek. When the psychotic homicidal version of Croc Dundee grinds that Rambo knife into the girl's lower spine to keep her from running away, it really takes some fortitude to keep watching. 'specially when you hear that steel clicking its way up the vertebrae.

The Japanese movie Bizita Q grossed me out quite a bit. A couple of scenes that are too much to look at. Couple of rapes, some necrophilia etc. etc.

For those who really feel like: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0290329/

I was disturbed by the scene in, "Leaving Las Vegas" where Elizabeth Shue's character is squatting in the shower bleeding after...you know.

And although they obviously didn't really show it, that scene in, "Dolores Claiborne" where the father is having his daughter pleasure him with her hand is just awful.

Even more distrubing, there is now a "Clerks II."

So many posts and yet no 'Man Bites Dog'? Is it so hard to find or has time toned it down some? Find it if you haven't seen it. I still laugh as much as I cringe when I remember it. Best birthday scene ever.

Remember Pet Sematary? Remember the wife in the movie tells the story of how she had to care for her dying sister because her parents didn't want to, and the sister was horribly wasted away, and then she starts choking, and her hideous skeletal body begins convulsing?

man, that f*cked me up as a kid. i haven't seen it again since, so it still spooks me.

Remember that book Where the Red Fern Grows? (somebody mentioned it). Man, it makes me sound like a total *beep*, but I BAWLED my eyes out when i read that.

and that was just 2 weeks ago. haha.

For me...

1) The raping of the nuns in 'Salvador'.

2) The dog pouncing on the rabbit in 'Watership Down'

3) In 'Stirs of Echos' where the girl is scratching the floor and her fingernails snap back.

4) 'Jaws 4' at the beginning where Sean leans over to get the log off of the buoy and his arm gets bitten off

5) Not a movie but a mini-series called 'The Leaving of Liverpool' had some pretty awful scenes in it.

6) The horse getting carved up by glass panes in 'The Cell'

7) 'The Fly' Geena Davis giving birth to a maggot.

Cool In 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' near the end when the bad dudes face melts off (pretty scary when you are a kid!)

9) The horse going burko on the boat in 'The Ring'

10) Any scene with Jar-Jar Binks!

Hi all, newbie here. I usually haunt this site but I had a compelling urge to post because....

The movie "Training Day" had a scene that I found quite disturbing. Ethan Hawk is in the bathtub about to get his brains blown out. One of the 'villians' even closes the shower curtain, in anticipation of being splattered with blood....

The realism was shocking, I felt like I was the one in the tub.

The Never-ending Story, the black wolf thingy that hunts Atreyo for the whole movie. I was just a kid when I saw it, but the suspense of it hunting him the whole movie just about killed me. Mom said I had nightmares for a year, and I had a horrible fear of Black panthers (I didn't realize it was a wolf when I first saw it) and the dark until i was in my early teens.

Maybe cheezy and nobody remembers it, but the only waking,
screaming nightmare I ever had was after seeing "UFO: Target Earth."
I think I was 13. Maybe younger. Can't pinpoint a particular scene, tho.

Passolini's Salo:120 days of Sodom. Quite possibly the most disturbing movie ever. Passolini knew he was dying when he was making it, so he wouldnt have to feel the backlash once released.

I remember being taken to Star Trek 2 The Wrath of Khan. Those slug things put in the helmets, boring in through the guys ears!! That gave me nightmares for awhile. I always pulled the covers up over my ears too.
