Just curious as to what some people think is appropriate.
When you are sending off your resume, what kind of photo do you include?
I get some absolute classics. We have a wall of shame in our office.
I have received bar drinking shots, bikini shots, (though I think this one was a prank application from one of my idiot mates), outdoor adventure shots, (one guy from Michigan actually was dressed in his weekend warrior army fatigues!)
Most Korean schools will hire on the basis of the photo more so than the resume, so how can you get the job you want and avoid getting sniggered at by a bunch of Koreans who think we are strange in the first place? |

When I was searching for jobs last year I got my friend to take one of me in a shirt and tie outside my home with a typical Korean street in the background. It seemed to work well. |

Send a professional looking picture. Maybe even wear a suit. Not addressed at the OP, but ESL attracts so many people who wouldn't know what professionalism or the professional world was if it Ddong chimed them. |

oh and having a beer in your hand and a ciggie in your mouth really does not inspire bosses to offer you millions!
I honestly got one like this. |

A nice passport style photo, in my opinion, is the best. |

Yeah these are good as long as you are smiling in the photo. In mine I look like a criminal with more chins than a Chinese phonebook, so I didn't use it. |

So true. The other American at my school sent in a photo I'm sure was taken in a nightclub. He also refuses to speak to literally anybody except students and our manager. |

While on the topic:
Take a second look at your e-mail address. I have seen resumes with [email protected] or [email protected].
Yeah, stuff that will make a potential employer call you RIGHT NOW! |

Yes, that's what I did for my last round of job hunting.
I went to a photo shop and had passport shots done in business wear.
It's important to smile aswel!!!
