Hi. I was just wondering what this area is like, and if there are any web resources about it. I'd also be up for meeting people when I eventually get there. What's the scene like? How crowded is this area, and is it easy to get around? I tried google earthing the location (near Sanbon station) but it's hard to get a good idea of what it's like.
Any pics? So curious. |

Yea, it's a fantastic area, in my opinion, as far as Korea goes anyways. Lived here for about 1 1/2 years. Not too big, not too small, everything I need. Nice parks. |

You're welcome! The pictures don't do it justice. I'll take some shots from down below when it clears up a little more. It's rainy and overcast these days. |

I lived in Sanbon for two years. Probably my best two years in Korea. I was commuting to Suwon for work, but worth it.
Great pics! |

I'm working with a recruiter and considering a public school position in Anyang...I preferred Seoul but got a very late start as I was waiting for the results of the Foreign Service Exam. Not good.
So anyway, would you recommend this area for a 20-something guy who enjoys going out and having a drink and/or socializing on weekends...etc. I'm no drunk, but I would hate to be stuck somewhere where the locals are afraid of me and there are very few expats to socialize with...so what's the verdict? |

I live in Sanbon too. I like it here, nice little city. Seoul is within an hour, plenty of mountains, even a nice bike path you can take all the way to Seoul. Surrounding areas such as Beomgye and Anyang aren't too bad, also, they have the TGIFs and Outbacks in these two cities...
So far, my favorite city in Korea, I was in Busan last year, air quality is terrible compared with Sanbon, decent air here...
