Last week an elementary student gave me abox of shells he had collected, over time I think as we live in the only province without a coastline. The box was well wrapped, his mother obviously wrapped it for him.
He pointed out one shell with a hole in that is obviously for a chain.
Now he would get such a kick if I put it on a piece of leather (assuming I could find this in Jecheon) and wore it next week but I thought I would ask you more experienced folks..Is ths a good idea?
He is such a sweet kid and I don't do any grading so it can't be a bribe...and I would love to see his smile...... |

| I endorse the idea 100%. You've been given a gift that clearly comes from the heart, and not the pocketbook. Why not reciprocate? |

I was just not sure if it would look like I was playing favourites. He seems a popular kids so I am not worried that he would get teased, although I did think about it.
Ok..I am convinced....tomorrow..go find something to put it on..if only it would stop raining! |

| I was given several pieces of "trinket" jewelry in the US by students. I worked in multiple schools. I always made a point to wear something a student gave me when I knew I'd be in a particular student's school and seeing him/her. The other kids never seemed to notice, but the kid who gave me the gift always did and was tickled--especially when I'd wear it 5 years later. I'd say do it and let the kid know the gift was appreciated. |
