Is it possible to buy womens clothes in a US size 12-14 in/around Seoul?

I mean, where do all those fat Korean girls buy their clothes... you know, all 5 of them. Rolling Eyes Laughing

If it is not reasonable to find clothes in my size, how does internet shopping work there... is the shipping expensive?

thanks Smile

I posted almost the same thing about bras. I have since stocked up on the former being home. Don't really know. Near as I can see I don't wear paisley or elastic waistbands like the ajumas or big boys jeans. Try victoria secret, 7 days and cheap shipping. There is a company, or a few that will you can order anywhere in the US and deliver for you from any American store. I never really had a problem with the size (except for bras), it was the style or something. Like, high heels are great but, where can I get a great pair of flat black shoes? Where can I get beach clothes for Travelling? Where can I get make up (if you have pink toned skinned and not brown toned) and gum or something from back home. The latter I just got sent over by my mother. Get care packages, they make you feel great and your family or friends will sort of feel special that they are contributing to your experience and maintaining a special relationship with you.

My former supervisor just told me today she wanted to send me something that I couldn't get in Korea when I get back to Korea. They really do want to be a part of your experience if you let them and keep the emails or letters or phonecalls going. Buy something special for them to bring back and you don't have to worry about losing touch.

Ditto. I order pretty regularly from jcpenny.com and eddiebauer.com. LL Bean and Lands End also ship to Korea. That and I stock up when I'm home... like now. I'm taking a break from trying to figure out how I'm going to fit everything in my suitcases on Friday. *sigh*

Shipping is a bit expensive from those websites, but it beat's the heck out of searching all over Korea and having ajumma after ajumma shout "No big size!" the second you look in her store. Rolling Eyes

Do you live near Seoul?
If so, you could try Big Boss in Itaewon

eBay! I have found several really nice things on eBay for cheap, even including shipping. I have also met a couple people on eBay who will go buy me what I want (deodorant, etc.) and ship it to me at cost because I'm a good customer. The drawback, of course, is you can't try anything on. But, if you get it dirt cheap, it's not such a problem.

there's a BBW specialty store near exit 12 of dongdaemun stadium station... it's called Aiola... a bit pricey though but they have a variety of clothes, from casual to formal... you might want to visit their website http://www.big2big.co.kr

I second both Ebay and Big Boss. The nice thing about Ebay, is that it is wrapped to look like it's a person-to-person gift, so you don't get charged duty.

I have ordered from Victoria's secret, but the duty is a killer!

The lady at Big Boss is super helpful, and has a good eye for sizes. She has made some suggestions to me that looked great, but I would never have picked out for myself.

Keep your orders around $150USD and you won't get charged duty.

Next to Outback. There's a sign at the top of the building that says "Big Boss." I shop there all the time. I'm putting her grandchildren through college. I love her stuff. You're a 12/14, so you won't have any trouble there. Most of her cuter stuff would be in your size, and whatever she doesn't have in your size, she can order.
