My former married woman fling even gave me her husbands prized possesssion, a carved gold dagger, as a phallic symbol of our hot lust. She told him it had been lost while moving appt.

Hey, single mothers can make GREAT mates, but there are too many disadvantages to dating a single mother that simply do NOT exist when dating a childless woman. So why even bother with a single mother?

It's not hard to find a woman without a kid! I mean... after all, MOST single women do NOT have kids. Go for one of them... don't get stuck with the one who has the kid. [/color][/b]

Is it really so easy to find a woman you can love and loves you back?

Who said it was easy?

*blink* You did. "It's not hard to find a woman without a kid!"

And you asked...

Never date a single mother!

YOU will always take the back seat to the kid... and there's nothing wrong with that, because hey, her kid should come first. However, why would you want to deal with that? Why be #2 when you can be #1?

On top of that, you WILL be paying extra to date her. You don't think you'll have to sometimes take the kid to Lotte World or buy her food or gifts? You want to be a father? Take care of another guys kid? Sure, he's a dead beat, but that's not your problem... and on top of that, who chose to marry, get pregnant, have a child, and then divorce the dead-beat?

What if you want to have sex? You're gonna do it with the kid in the other room? Or she's gonna go over to your place? What about the kid? Ah yes, babysitters. How much is that gonna cost? I wonder who pays.

Rolling Eyes Who's to say that he wouldn't want to do those things you mentioned? Preferences are tailored to an individual.

What's the opposite of "not hard"? Okay so, you agree it is not easy to find a woman, single or with child, who is compatible long term. And there's your reason why a man would date a single mom. She's got long term potential.

Sure, I'm sure there are some people who actually might want to do those things.

...but I think most guys have no interest in being a father to a kid that's not theirs, as well as taking the back seat to a kid, when they could get more out of a relationship when they hook up with a woman that doesn't have children.

And again... I'm sure there are guys that don't mind:

-The inconveniences of being with a single mother;
-Being a father to a child that's not theirs;
-Having less time with his "soulmate";
-Sneaking around to have sex;
-Buying gifts for children or helping pay the bills for the poor mom;
-Helping the children with their homework;
-Not being able to take a vacation with your women w/o the child; and
-Whatever else comes with dating single mothers.

Now, doing all those things... good things to do. After all, there's nothing wrong with helping kids with homework or whatever. However, that shouldn't be MY problem, and if I had a choice, I'd go for a woman without children. If she doesn't have children, then-

-Have hot wild sex without worrying about the kid waking up;
-Being #1 in all her relationships;
-Being able to take vacations without worrying about children; and
-I'm sure you can think of other benefits.

Is she Korean? If so, you really have to factor all the other relatives into the picture. What power do the ex-in-laws have over her kid? What's her relationship with her parents and family?

She may also have issues in this society because many men will see her as damaged goods and many women will see her as a loser. And both men and women may see you as a loser for resorting to hooking up with a divorcee.

I wouldn't write it off, though - she could be a great potential partner.

You have to ask youre self bro who are you dating here, a women or a mother? Just because a young shela has a couple of puppies doesnt mean you have to go down the waimak and drown them all. I have many children to many different women, and its never a problem. Kids are really great, mine will bring me a beer and mow the lawn.
