A co-worker wants to get his E-2 processed at the Korean Embassy in Manila because he'll be visiting with his Filipina wife's family.
Anyone know how much time is required for E-2 processing in Manila, Philippines? |

One full day. I think you need to be there in the morning, and you can pick it up the following afternoon...if I remember right from my husband's visa run there. We actually dropped off his passport, took 3 days to go diving and returned to Manila to pick it up before leaving. |

My wife's f-3 visa took 3 business days. You better talk to them because I remember someone from Canada had a problem in Manila. |

The USUAL processing time is 4 days.
It can be done faster in special circumstances.
When I got mine done there in 2005, I submitted everything. They gave me the receipt for the passport and told me to return in 4 days.
I told them to cancel the request and give me everything back because I had a flight to HongKong that evening and needed my passport. I would apply at another consulate sometime in the future.
They asked to see the ticket. I showed it to them. They processed me in about 45 minutes. The waiting line to get in to the consulate was longer . almost 1 1/2 hours.

I appreciate all of your thoughtful and informative posts. My co-worker can plan a stress-free vacation armed with this knowledge. |
