Hey hey,

I have been reading this forum for awhile soaking up as much information as i could from all the posts i could read. But had to wait till rego opened again to talk myself. So the first thing i would like to say is thankyou for the information the people on here provide, pure gold and i would probably get into a very bad situation without it.

Anyway, yesterday I started the whole process. I applied with 4 recruiters that I had heard to be reputable. Duff, ATC, Kim n Joe and Teachkoreanz.

I was kind of suprised as how fast these guys work. Shortly after sending my info to atc I had an email requesting a phone interview for the next day. But its the next day 2 hours after the time they said they would call and still haven't called Sad

But here is my question, is there anything I should know for the initial interview over the phone with the recruiter? I don't want to create a bad impression.

Secondly if there are any other recruiters that are highly recommened their names would be appreciated Very Happy

cheers

I don't think there is anything to worry about with the recruiter being late in calling. One or the other of you might have figured the time difference wrong.

There is nothing special you should know for the interview. Speak slowly and clearly since the interviewer may not be fluent. Be natural and friendly, but don't go for the used-car salesman approach. Have a piece of paper ready to take notes. Also prepare a list of questions you want answers to.

Who ended up calling you?

Like I have said here on the forum before, I just was recruited by ATC and had a good experience with them.

Good luck and let me know if they recruit you for Incheon Public Schools, as that is where I am.

I wouldn't worry too much about them getting your name wrong. If they call you I would suggest taking Ya-ta Boy's advice; speak clearly, slowly, take notes, ask questions, be relaxed, be friendly. It'll be fine.

...and if you've really been studying here, most despise recruiters!
I used one (the same one) for my first two years here, two brothers based in California,
but their representatives here were completely retarded.
www.eslkorea.com but out of business or something for a year or two.

The main reason for the phone interview is to see if they can understand you.

Just remember to speak clearly and slowly.

They don't want to end up with someone with a thick accent who slurs their words and can't speak in full sentances.

They want to know if you sound friendly, and enthusiastic.
