Letterman likes to refer to "Kim Jong Il and his brother, Mentally Il".

Tonight, Leno had celebrity Jeopardy with Kim Jong Il and called him Mr. Il.

I don't think so. Methinks the op has been in Korea too long and feels that the rest of the world should understand and know everything about Korea as Koreans do.

It's a joke. Don't overanalyze it.

They are jokes. "Mentally Kim" and "Mr Kim" just dont sound quite as funny as mentally il and mr il.

A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away...

Zsa Zsa Gabor was a guest on the Tonight Show. She hada beautiful white persian cat with her.

Zsa Zsa: "Johnny, would you like to pet my p*ssy?"

Johnny: "Sure, but you'll have to move your cat first." Laughing

Actually, I think the joke was Bush calling her Mrs PuTIN (caps indicating stress; making it sound almost French - poutine). The stress should be on the first syllable.

It was a butchered joke in any case.

But worth it to stay up and see Ray Davies perform.

I think Bush said something like puTEENa. And Jay was making fun of him for adding the 'a'.

Ah, I missed that. Bush is right about ending, wrong about stress. Joke still isn't funny. Imagining State Department training session where they taught Bush that little tidbit of Russian is.

I never really understood most of his humor when I was younger, but watching some of the old bits and pieces I think he was a genius. Especially "The Great Carnac"
