Dude, it's a noraebang. People go there to HAVE FUN, which can occasionally involve singing Korean songs, which I know is so shocking and appalling considering that you LIVE IN FUCKING KOREA. I appreciate that you have a difficult life which involves you being paid to do fvck-all other than speak your native language, spending your free time drinking away the 50% of your paycheck you are able to salt away every month. Believe me, I know how tough that is. I've been there.
But I'm still going to sing Korean songs, and so are your Korean co-workers, so you might as well just get over yourself already. |

I can live with that. Just worded like someone pissed you off, and I missed it.
Hey, I can do a crappy rendition of Arirang, and a couple of other easy Korean songs.
I just tend to read too slow, and get behind, and skip some lines. |

That's the problem with the OP. It's much ado about nothing, like complaining about corn on the pizza or lack of English neon signs.
Seriously, what is he responding to? Another thread that I have overlooked? An argument with another foreigner? Is the PC bang next door to a noraebang where foreigners can be heard singing in English? (The Horror! The Horror!) Or does he lie awake at night in a cold sweat, suspicious of thousands of expats whose private thoughts and activities just might happen to differ from his own?
If I attended a noraebang again, I am more likely than not to choose a song in my own language. Why? Because I'll be there not to fulfill some vague obligation, but to HAVE FUN!!! |

Ohhhh, you nailed it. But I chose that over worrying about threads on the internet. |
