Hi all,
Found this picture on another site I frequent. There's like no responses on that site but I still think it makes a good discussion topic. Sorry don't know how to put up the pic but here is the link:

(is this piracy?)
I saw the pic. Basically, it's a female singing group that's pretty famous.
So do you guys think this would be considered racist or just for fun?
I happen to think it's slightly insensitive but this is a different culture after all. |

I don't think it is racist because I believe racism has to have some form of hate attached. It's incredibly, *beep*ing IGNORANT though. |

The picture is about 2 years old.
I don't think there is anything wrong with people discussing it. Mr. stevenisi just joined this week. He can't be expected to know about every topic ever discussed here. |

Not what I'm saying.
Never said that actually.
You may peruse my Dave's oeuvre to discover my critiques of certain specific characteristics of Korean society/history/culture/individuals/politics, etc. Or American or French or Iranian or Davesian, for that matter. You will certainly find tongue in cheek comments about distinct other groups as well: certainly Korean, but also Cuban and Qinellian.
But I will say the idea of criticizing any group of 45 million people as a whole(or the sod they inhabit) is pretty dumb.
And therefore, so is your question. |

Regardless, you need to change your avatar because I'm tired of getting sucked into the tractor beam every time you post. You've posted a few times in this thread already. It took me 30 minutes just to get down to the bottom where I could make a reply. Please, change to a picture of yourself like on the Iluvkorea board!
